How to Accept Yourself 101:
Being Happy with Who You Are, For a More Fulfilling Life

It can be tough to accept yourself, especially in a modern society filled with (air-brushed) images of supermodels, sports heroes, and overnight successes. Many people have an artifcially high standard to live up to and make themselves miserable trying. They might ‘fake it til they make it’ in order to try to impress people, but all the while the are feeling miserable inside because they are not living an authentic life, or a purpose-driven life in which you set your own goals and achieve them.

It starts when we are young. Our parents mean well, of course, and so do teachers, but the pressure to become, for example, a doctor or lawyer can always leave you feeling like you’re a failure, that you can never measure up.

This can lead to you beating yourself up over ever mistake you make, and not having a healthy sense of your own self-worth because you feel like a failure.

If you’re feeling ‘stuck’ in your life, wishing you were someone else, doing something else, or able to enjoy the better things in life, but they always seem just beyond your reach, this course will teach you how to accept yourself, for a more fulfilling life.

You will learn:

+what self-acceptance is
+why it is important
+how to bouce back if you feel you have made a mistake, so it does not +cripple you into inaction
+What self-worth is
+how to cultivate a better sense of your true self-worth

and more.

If you are longing to live your best life, one of purpose and passion, it’s time to learn how accept yourself for who you are, starting today.

We are taught from a young age to be accepting of other people, but many of us do not actually offer ourselves the sames courtesy and respect. Our inability to accept ourselves as we are often stems from childhood and are the result of messages we get rom parents, teachers and peers that we are ‘not good enough’ or that there is something ‘wrong with us.’ We might be tormented by bullies, and continue to torment ourselves into our adult year by internalizing the bullying and having low self-esteem.

We might put on a false face and try to be a ‘people pleaser’, while all the while we know we are leading an inauthentic life. We might beat ourselves up over the mistakes we make, to the point where we fear failure and also hold ourselves back from success because we don’t have a clear sense of who we are as a person and what our inner gifts actually are.’

Worst of all, a lack of self-acceptance often means a distorted sense of our worth. This can lead us to settling for less than the best in our careers and home life. We might be willing to accept a low salary and poor working conditions, for example, because we think it is all we deserve.

In this course, we will be dealing with the importance of accepting yourself in order to grow and thrive. We will discuss how to deal with any mistakes you might make, and how they can actually be a positive learning experience. We will also examine the issue of self-worth and how you can know your true worth and seek out people and situations which reflect your values, and which value you in turn. So let’s get started by meeting your instructor and getting your course downloads.
