Most of us don’t really think much about our metabolism when we are younger, but as we age, it slows down, leading to weight gain. In addition, Things like a slow thyroid (hypothyroidism) can make it an uphill struggle to lose weight, keep it off, and have enough energy for all the essentials each day.
