Introduction
It is a sad state of affairs when we start to feel guilty about taking a break from work. But the truth is that many of us have become workaholics in response to the fast-paced world we live in. And some of us have no choice. We get a promotion, our job duties change, or we suddenly find ourselves doing the work of 3 people because there have been layoffs in our company.
We get home and need to find time for spouse, kids, chores, and basic self-care. If we’re lucky, we might actually get some sleep. But then we have to start all over again the very next day. And on, and on. There has to be a better way.
What most of us seem to forget is that it’s perfectly fine and beneficial to “take ten” and spend a little time each day de-stressing and taking care of ourselves. That’s what this short course is all about. I want to inspire you to start taking care of yourself and doing what you can to decompress and combat the stress I’m sure you’re under in your everyday life.
