Planning the Perfect Wedding

Once you get engaged, your thoughts will immediately turn to planning the ‘perfect’ wedding. This is supposed to be a happy time, but it can become very stressful if you have unrealistic expectations about what you want and what you can afford. Things can also take a lot longer to arrange that you thought. PLUS, the wedding day will be a long one, requiring a great deal of attention to detail in order to make sure that nothing important is left out and that your guests have everything they need to have a great time, even if you have a tight budget.

Planning ahead as early as possible will allow you to get the best prices, budget properly, and take advantage of special sales and great deals. If you are planning a wedding some time in the near future, keep track of everything in a folder on your computer and a paper one on your desk, shop around, and think of all the festivities with family and friends that will occur before, during and after your wedding day, such as the bridal shower, hen night (bachelorette party), rehearsal dinner, wedding reception and perhaps even wedding breakfast the next morning if you are planning a destination wedding.
