We all complain how busy we are at work, but studies show that even a few minutes of exercise are better than none.
Many of us in the tech age are stuck at our desks from at lest 9 to 5, but that doesn’t mean we have to be ‘cubicle potatoes’-like a couch potato, only even more spread out.
Studies have shown that even people who do exercise regularly may not all be able to combat the effects of such a sedentary lifestyle.
So if want to try to stay fit, here are a couple of ideas to try?
+Stand up every 30 minutes, stretch a little, walk, or imaginary jump rope in place.
+Fidget. Get your circulation moving, even while you are working.
+Take 15 minute breaks and walk to the restroom and the around the floor.
+Set your chair back to be at an angle wider than 90 degrees to help keep your back flexible.
+On a business call in your office? Stand or walk and chat at the same time.
+Try some desk yoga.
These ideas will not entirely replace a proper workout but they can certainly help you keep moving every day during all the hours you are in the office.
